13 July 2007 Kittiwake Coast, NL, Canada, --..Since cod fishing was banned in 1986, many families, especially younger ones fled Newfoundland in search of a new business. The emigration, with no concurrent immigration, can leave properties idle for months with a tiny for sale sign and often, they become abandoned. The houses overlook various coves and bays and sit as a reminder to more prosperous times. ..Photo by Will Nunnally / Will Nunnally Photography
